NASA's Glenn Research Center is touching ahead to process details of its future reorganization while preparing for a new administrator next month. Deputy Director James Free will take charges as director 4th Jan 2013 with Ray Lu go's retirement.
The Cleveland Plain Dealer statements that Free held this week that he expects the main workforce to remain constant. It's about 25% smaller than in the mid-1990s.The reorganization map is still awaiting last approval. But officials told it will focus on 4 core areas counting work on space power, propulsion and communication systems and superior materials. James Free also says he's dedicated to increasing the quantity of government and commercial spacecraft testing complete at the center's Plum Brook Station in Sandusky.
